On the latest episode of the Just B with Bethenny Frankel podcast, Rachel Leviss sat down with Bethenny Frankel for another conversation no one asked for about her affair with Tom Sandoval on Vanderpump Rules.

Frankel is on a tear lately with what she calls a “reality reckoning” as she attempts to create a union for former and current reality tv stars, though any results of her efforts have yet to be seen. She is for the most part, as usual, shouting into the void. But, ever the savvy businesswoman, she had the good sense to get Rachel Leviss on her podcast to talk about the scandal that lit the fire under her ass in the first place.

What was posed as a tell-all full of dramatic revelations was, in reality, a brief recap of everything we already knew about the Scandoval affair.

“A woman’s voice is very powerful,” the caption of Frankel’s Instagram post announcing the episode reads. “Now Rachel is using hers to tell her own story…for the first time…”

I don’t know if we can really call it the first time, but sure.

There were a great many disclosures including the moniker “Raquel” coming from a teacher who told her she was “Raquel to her core,” and the fact that she went to St. Louis to visit Sandoval’s friends and family but was asked to keep the trip “on the down low.” But the main message was that she was in a tumultuous environment that she wasn’t prepared for and got “caught up” in all the drama and the desire to please the producers, who were telling her to share her side of the story before anyone else could. She said she stands by her Instagram apology (despite one-half of it having been deleted) and that she has come to learn about “love addiction” and the difference between intensity and intimacy. She believed she was in love with Sandoval at the time and he with her, but now realizes that was not so.

“Honesty is one of my core values that I refuse to compromise any longer,” she said before explaining that she and Ariana Madix were not best friends as everyone assumed, and that in fact, they’d never hung out one-on-one outside of the show. Furthermore, she said she would not have become involved in an affair with Sandoval if she thought there was “longevity” in his relationship with Madix. Sandoval even told Leviss that he and Madix were merely “a brand” and “business partners.”

This is only part 1 of the interview. I think we’ve officially reached critical mass with all of this, but we’ll see if she has any new information in part 2.
