Pitbull Approves of Instrumental Version of His Song in Sexy ‘Bridgerton’ Carriage Scene

Bridgerton has used some wonderfully surprising instrumental versions of popular songs since episode one, including the now infamous carriage scene at the very end of the first half of season three, which features a delicate string rendition of Pitbull’s “Give Me Everything.”

How do I explain the sheer delight of hearing the unmistakable dulcet tones of Mr. Worldwide’s lyricism being translated into a melody to be played over—spoilers—a fingering scene? I’ll let you take it from the man himself:

“This again shows the world how music is the international language that transcends over boundaries more so how a hit song can remain timeless,” Pitbull wrote on Instagram in response to the scene. Or, put more simply by the official Bridgerton account, “This author would most certainly agree with Lord Worldwide … Music speaks when words cannot.”

In an earlier interview, actors Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton also emphasized the transcending power of the carriage scene.

“I always say that scene for me has everything that makes Bridgerton magic, because it has the romance, suspense, drama, the miscommunication and then the sexiness, and then the beautiful moments of humor,” said Coughlan. By humor, perhaps she means this:

Newton replied wholesomely: “I think the fans being along for the ride the whole time really makes it special, like a shared experience. The experience that [Nicola and I] shared together, but also they’ve experienced it.”
