We can’t get enough of Nailed It host Nicole Byer. The comedian/podcaster/TV personality has us howling with her witty observations, dazzling charisma, playful humor, and contagious cackles. On social media, she gets real, she lives her fantasy, and she announces thrilling new projects. The latest of which she teased with a big red ball.
That’s right, Nicole Byer is joining TBS’s Wipeout reboot as a co-host.
ABC’s kooky obstacle course show went off the air in 2014, but TBS announced it’s bouncing back with the signature big red balls and some sensational color commentators. Joining Byer will be WWE superstar John Cena, who’s enchanted us with his comedy stylings in Trainwreck and Blockers. Also on board as host on the field is Camille Kostek (I Feel Pretty). These three follow in the footsteps of OG Wipout hosts John Anderson, John Henson, and Jill Wagner.
Of her new gig, Byer told EW, “Now more than ever we need a ton of fun and laughs. And there’s nothing funnier than people falling over giant red balls. Wipeout is truly insane, and I’m tickled to be a part of this beloved show’s comeback.”
The only bad news is TBS hasn’t yet revealed when we might get new episodes of this hilarious competition show. For now, we’ll have to just keep rewatching Nailed It on Netflix for our Byer fix, and bingeing the original six seasons of Wipeout on Hulu.
