I love Arrested Development. I even loved season four. I loved it even more the second time. But, it’s been 11 years since the original run of Arrested Development went off the air, and maintaining interest in the series for over a decade with only one season of episodes to keep us invested has been challenging, especially when most of the coverage of the series since 2005 has been about when or if it will ever return.

Well, it’s returning. Officially. And everyone is back. And this time, they’re all going to be in the same episodes together.

“In talks with Netflix we all felt that that stories about a narcissistic, erratically behaving family in the building business — and their desperate abuses of power — are really underrepresented on TV these days,” said Hurwitz in a comical statement on Wednesday. “I am so grateful to them and to 20th TV for making this dream of mine come true in bringing the Bluths, George Sr., Lucille and the kids; Michael, Ivanka, Don Jr., Eric, George-Michael, and who am I forgetting, oh Tiffany. Did I say Tiffany? — back to the glorious stream of life.”

The fifth season will debut in 2018. It will be all anyone talks about for 5 days, and then we will spend the next 5 years asking whether there will be a season 6.
