Kids from the ’90s will recall the splendid Drew Barrymore romantic comedy Never Been Kissed, which centered on her character, a newspaper reporter working undercover as a high school student for research on a story. I don’t remember what the story was, or if she managed to get it published, but we all remember the kiss between Josie Grossy and her teacher, played by Michael Vartan.
I miss the romantic comedies of those days and their complete lack of cynicism.
On yesterday’s The Drew Barrymore Show, the host and Michael Vartan reunited for what seems to be the first time in many, many years, and hell if Michael Vartan isn’t a little emotional about it (Vartan, for the record, does still appear to be an active member of the industry, although he hasn’t appeared in anything since 2018 and nothing of particular note, really, since Alias). It’s a sweet reunion.
There was a Never Been Kissed reunion on The Drew Barrymore Show and the look on Drew's face when Michael Vartan walks out with tears in his eyes is just so freakin pure pic.twitter.com/xHYS4S6nfy

Vartan also admits, awkwardly, that during that kiss, Drew Barrymore went for it, and he, uh, had a stirring of feelings in his nether regions that he had to work to hide in the moment. I suppose this is the kind of unsavory talk they engage in over on the scurrilous The Drew Barrymore Show. Boners!
