To recap: on the most recent season of Love Is Blind, contestant Chelsea Blackwell told her soon to be fiancé, who had not yet seen her in the flesh, that people had told her before that she kind of looked like Megan Fox. This throwaway comment then became internet controversy, as many vehemently disagreed (including her fiancé, who said in a confessional that she’d lied about how she looks).

Well, the doppelganger in question has finally responded and thinks we all “went too hard” and “no one deserves to get bullied.”

While Fox admitted she doesn’t “really watch TV very much” and hasn’t actually seen Love Is Blind, she’s “never had more people text [her] about something.”

“I’ve had a lot of people text me and stop me. Even other celebrities at like Oscar parties were like, ‘Do you watch ‘Love Is Blind?’ And I was like, ‘No, but I know what you’re talking about,” she told E! News at a Coachella interview.

“I did see a picture of her … A hundred thousand percent, people have told her, ‘You kind of look like Megan Fox.’” She believes Blackwell was “telling the truth” and hopes the reaction didn’t hurt her too much, saying, “I hope she still has that sparkle in her eye. I hope the world didn’t steal it from her—mine died long ago from being bullied for 20 years.” She also added that it’s one thing to bully actresses like her, who people assume “get paid enough” that they deserve it, but someone like Blackwell—a regular person on a reality show—doesn’t get that same “reward,” which makes it worse.

Her advice to Blackwell and single women everywhere was to “Learn a skill or develop a hobby and do not waste time on boys.”
