It’s been far too long since we posted about human sunshine Lin-Manuel Miranda. But with Mary Poppins Returns coming to theaters this December, we’ll be seeing the charismatic Hamilton creator/star back on the press circuit, sprinkling charm and good times like spoonfuls of sugar!

First up, Miranda swung by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert—and for the first time since Hamilton hit Broadway! Their chat began with a discussion of how the hip-hop history sensation is faring in its West End debut. And Miranda shared that some were worried the show would be a bit lost in translation because “(The British) don’t know American history.” To that suggestion, Miranda responded with the most frustration I’ve ever seen him display (off Twitter), declaring, “WE DON’T KNOW AMERICAN HISTORY! You’re fine.”

Miranda also shares how there’s one line in Hamilton that’s never gotten a laugh Stateside, but man does it slay in London. You might be the biggest Hamilfan. You’ll never guess what it is. (“You’re dead inside! You did not laugh!”)

This ten-minute clip is full of riches. Miranda recounts watching “You’ll Be Back,” while sitting next to Prince Harry, a living descendant of George III. (“That’s his sixth great-grandpa! We’re sitting in a theater named after his fourth great-grandma!”) Plus a Helen Mirren anecdote with the absolute worst impersonation of her! Just watch it all. Treat yourself. You deserve this.

Also. He’s got a new book out. You’re all going to want it. I want it. (Hint hint, Overlord Secret Santa!)
