Jordan Peele Invites You To 'The Twilight Zone' on CBS All Access
You find yourself falling into a riddle trapped in an enigma, wrapped in a mystery and smeared in hot buttery fear. You don’t know where you are but you know it’s somewhere freaky. There’s milk and Fruit Loops on the table and never the two shall meet. A familiar voice beckons you to enter the scary door and into The Twilight Zone. Again. Only now it’s with Jordan Peele!
The unlikely Oscar front-runner director and one half of comedy’s greatest power couples is one of three producers at the helm of the latest reboot of the classic sci-fi/horror anthology series, which is coming to CBS Access (because why put all the stuff people are looking forward to on, you know, a channel people actually watch?). He’ll be joined by Marco Ramirez of The Defenders and Simon Kinberg of the X-Men franchise.
The original series ran from 1959 to 1964 and stands as one of the most influential shows of the century. The first revival ran from 1985 to 1989, then there was a second short-lived revival on UPN from 2002 to 2003. Given the sheer terror of our modern age, with Peele joking in his statement that ‘Too many times this year it’s felt we were living in a twilight zone’, perhaps there’s no better time for another reboot.
