It’s a weird time in American when I — a Commie pinko liberal — have more faith in capitalism than in our Democracy, but here we are. I mean, when the President attacked Colin Kaepernick, who was it that came to his rescue? Nike. When it was revealed that Bill O’Reilly had settled another lawsuit with women he sexually harassed, it was the advertiser boycott that forced him off the air. Alex Jones has been reduced to yelling at turds — literally — because capitalistic entities took his platforms away.
Literally the first thing I encountered in the vicinity of the Cruz/Trump rally was Alex Jones screaming at a pile of shit pic.twitter.com/lxmPgjAmB5

The latest is Gab.com, which is Facebook for Nazis (as opposed to Facebook, which is … Facebook for Nazis. (I kid, Zuckerberg! I kid! Please don’t take away the TENS of people that visit us from Facebook now)). I’d honestly never heard of Gab.com until this weekend, when we found out that the last message that Robert Bowers sent before shooting up a synagogue in Pittsburgh was delivered on Gab.com.
Bowers’ account was “verified,” and his bio read, that “jews are the children of satan.” Gab.com — a haven for white nationalists, neo-Nazis, and other far-right fringe groups — was pulled offline over the weekend. This is the message visitors get when they visit the site now.
Their hosting providers are in the process of booting them, and GoDaddy told them they have one day to transfer their domain.
BREAKING: @GoDaddy is threatening to suspend our domain (which is worth six figures) if we do not transfer to a new provider by tomorrow. This is madness. @realDonaldTrump @parscale I hope you are paying attention. pic.twitter.com/5hsXKW5NvB

This sounds a lot like Alex Jones about a month before he was found screaming at literal shit.
No-platform us all you want.
— Gab.com🂠(@getongab) October 29, 2018
Ban us all you want.
Smear us all you want.
You can’t stop an idea.https://t.co/J3Rfto6fi3 and The People will rise.
Gab.com continues to push the “free speech” narrative.
The internet is not reality. TV is not reality. 80% of normal everyday people agree with Gab and support free expression and liberty. The online outrage mob and mainstream media spin machine are the minority opinion.

But again, this is not a First Amendment issue. This is a free enterprise issue. GoDaddy and the people who host Gab.com decided that it was too detrimental to their bottom line to keep associating with the kind of platform that links to this blog:
About 5 minutes before Gab shut down, I saw this on a blog linked from a Gab post. A blog post from today. Hey @wordpressdotcom— take this blog and every one like it down. pic.twitter.com/bUKDH4Xgjv

Hate is great for conservative politicians, but it’s not always so great for the bottom line, and thank God for that. But speaking of God, Kellyanne Conway was on Fox News this morning trying so very desperately to frame the shooting in Pittsburgh over the weekend as an assault on religion and blamed late-night comedians. And no, I’m not kidding. It’s 2018. You know better than to think I’m kidding.
Conway tries to frame Pittsburgh shooting as really being about "anti-religiosity" writ large.

"The anti-religiosity in this country that is somehow in vogue… making fun of people who express religion, the late night comedians,.. It's always anti-religious." pic.twitter.com/yw6ZvY1CIQ
Meanwhile, Kellyanne’s husband, George Conway, was tweeting this at about the same time:
“This president will never offer comfort, compassion or empathy to a grieving nation. It’s not in him. When questioned after a tragedy, he will always be glib and inappropriate. So I have a wild suggestion: Let’s stop asking him. His words are only salt in our wounds.” https://t.co/ULCCaNKa78

But how do you stop Fox News from promoting lies and hate? Or continuing to inaccurately link George Soros to the caravan?
Lou Dobbs' guest Chris Farrell says the "caravan" is being funded/directed by the "Soros-occupied State Department". So, what he's saying is, the caravan is part of some ZOG conspiracy.

You can’t appeal to the President or Congress, obviously. We can boycott Fox News all we want, but it won’t do a damn bit of good because we’re not watching Fox News anyway, and there’s no way to convince Fox News viewers of the dangers of that network’s propaganda.
There’s kind of only one thing left to do: Use capitalism as a weapon. Boycott their advertisers. From WashPo:
The frightening thing is that the right-wing media will be here long after Trump and the current crop of Republican politicians are gone. These outlets have a First Amendment right to say what they want, but investors and advertisers also have a right to take their dollars elsewhere. If Rupert Murdoch and his sons won’t rein in its extremist propaganda, advertisers should flee Fox, and investors should flee its parent company, News Corp. Its stock should become as toxic as shares of mining companies that produce “blood diamonds.” The propagandists and politicians who are radicalizing the American right must not be allowed to escape responsibility for the dangerous consequences of their actions.
According to Ad Week, these are the top advertisers on Fox News. I can’t say that I’ve ever bought anything from them, but I bet there are a lot of folks w @GEICO out there. Time seems right for a boycott… pic.twitter.com/z8VJi4W4pt

Here’s a helpful way to start your day from the people over at GEICO:
If you want to cancel your policy, GEICO makes it easy with no cancellation fee. Just follow the steps below: Call (800) 841-1587 to speak with a friendly, licensed agent. If prompted to speak to the Interactive Voice Response (IVR), say “cancel insurance policy” and then “auto.”
You know who votes for Trump in the largest numbers? Old people. You know who advertisers don’t care about? Old people. As for the rest of us? The least we can do is hurt them where it hurts the most: On the ledger sheet.
