As we reported earlier, Sean Spicer will be on the forthcoming season of Dancing with the Stars, which is the first season after a year-long hiatus. The host of Dancing with the Stars is not thrilled about this.

This is like that time that CBS invited Johnny Fairplay back on Survivor even though Jeff Probst hates Johnny Fairplay so much that banned him from all Survivor events, except that Johnny Fairplay is just a drunk, abrasive lout and Sean Spicer is an evil enabler of racism and human rights violations.

  • Robert Rodriguez (mumblemumbleRoseMcGowanmumblemumleHarveyWeinstein) is developing a kid superhero series on Netflix, which makes sense from the guy behind Spy Kids. Priyanka Chopra Jonas will star in We Can Be Heroes. (Wait? Are we really calling her Priyanka Chopra Jonas now?) Anyway, the series is about aliens kidnapping all of Earth’s superheroes and their children having to band together to save them.

  • Lucy Prebble is developing I Hate Suzie as a Sky original. It’s about a celebrity played, by Billie Piper, whose star is on the wane until her phone is hacked and a photo of her in a compromising position is released. The most interesting thing about this, to me anyway, is that Lucy Prebble not only created Diary of a Secret Call Girl, which also starred Billie Piper, but is also a writer for Succession. That’s a Venn diagram I would never have expected.

  • Tucker Carlson returned to Fox News last night after his “preplanned” vacation, which just happened to be planned midweek after another round of white supremacist comments. When he returned, he discovered that he was down to only 13 and a half minutes of commercial breaks — 23 ads in all, 8 of which were promotions for other Fox properties. If you’re wondering who is still hanging on, talk to … the makers of turmeric drink mixes, ear wash systems, and cup-holder mounts for smartphones. Why would someone put turmeric in a drink?

  • Chris Pratt, Betty Gilpin, J.K. Simmons, and Yvonne Strahovski will star in Ghost Draft from director Chris McKay (Lego Batman). The movie is about a “family man who is drafted to fight a future war in which the fate of humanity may rely on his ability to correct issues of the past.”

  • For the few of you who still watch The Walking Dead, casting in a Netflix series has put yet another cast member’s future on the show in jeopardy.

  • Finally, remember that Variety cover yesterday in which they said that Conan O’Brien was revolutionizing the podcast? Yeah, well: Marc Maron had some beef with that, and they hashed it out on Conan’s show last night.
