For about two weeks, Conan O’Brien has been performing his show in front of an audience of cardboard cutouts. The cutouts (actual pictures sent in by fans) have been used in several bits and now Conan can hardly go an episode without referencing them. It was only a matter of time before he added his favorite/least favorite producer to the bunch: Jordan Schlansky.

Jordan Schlansky has been a bit of a punching bag for Conan over the years. O’Brien will relish any opportunity to mock Schlansky’s tastes, office or nerd status. However, since the lockdown, Conan has only been able to berate Schlansky a couple times over Zoom. Now the late-night host has fixed that “problem.”

In last night’s show, Conan revealed that Schlansky has been added to his slew of cardboard audience members. “Why did we put a cutout of Jordan in the crowd pretending to be an illusionist?” asked O’Brien, in reference to the picture of Schlansky being… quite serious and mysterious. “The only upside to this quarantine is that I don’t see Jordan regularly” Conan continued.

Even Andy Richter got a shot in, saying “It’s funny because the cardboard cutout is far more productive than the actual Jordan.”

You can watch the clip below and likely expect more digs to be taken at Schlansky’s cutout in the weeks to come.
