Have you found yourself with a six-foot-tall, redheaded, unreasonably pale void in your life? Well, that’s because Conan O’Brien has been on a little winter break. But that break is over now!! You can stop madly scrolling through YouTube, searching for new clips! You can stop screaming his name at the moon! You can stop asking your wife “Where’s Conan?” every twenty minutes! … You’ve all been doing that, right? Not just me?
Anyway, Conan came back with a bang last night. The bits and sketches on his show are as strong as ever, especially with Andy Richter so heavily involved. I love Andy and am always happy when he gets to do more in a sketch. Not only is he a funny person but he and Conan’s personalities complement each other effortlessly.
As you can see, the dynamic between the two has not changed. For things that have changed, look no further than… the world at large? If you look through the door at the Largo Theater, you’ll see a magical, healing world, filled to the brim with growth and life and innovation! And it’s all thanks to Trump getting kicked off Twitter!
Speaking of Trump (which, hopefully, we’ll only have to do for a few more days), Conan takes a shot at the soon-to-be ex-president’s erratic behavior. Conan, as a choice, hasn’t always been a political comedian. However, he’s really unloaded on Trump in recent years, and not only is it refreshing it’s funny. O’Brien is smart, his writers are smart, and it’s great to see them direct their energy at someone who is more, let’s say, SMRT.
