A ‘Conan’ Christmas Has Never Been More Terrifying

Conan O’Brien, in all his comedic wisdom, decided to celebrate Christmas early this year! “Why, you ask, are we celebrating Christmas” Conan pondered. “Because, we thought it over, and the way things are going, it looks like we might not make it to December 25th.”

Huzzah! Christmas has come to Conan early! It’s chock full of Christmas decorations, Andy Richter in an elf costume, Conan’s entire cardboard cutout audience in Santa hats, a masked children’s choir, and OH MY GOD WHAT KIND OF MASK DOES CONAN HAVE ON?! I’m incredibly disturbed and yet… I can’t look away.

The late-night host at one point begins sporting a mask designed to look like a chimney with Santa’s legs dangling out of it and it is TERRIFYING. It’s less like a fun Christmas gag and more akin to something you’d find in a NyQuil-induced Christmas Eve nightmare.

Oh, you already saw this bizarre, yet hilarious monstrosity in the photo for this article? Well, here it is from another angle!

Try to look away from Conan gobbling up (or as the late-night host said in his own defense, “vomiting up”) your childhood sense of wonder! It’s mesmerizing.

You can watch the segment below and, if you’re feeling in the Christmas spirit, get me one of these horrifying face masks as a gift. Scare me as it may, I must possess it and I don’t think it would be appropriate to ask the jolly man himself (Conan, not Santa).
