Grey’s Anatomy on ABC at 8:00pm ET. 16th season premiere.
Perfect Harmony on NBC at 8:30pm ET. Series premiere. Bradley Whitford and his Get Out hair star as a “former Princeton music professor” who stumbles into a small-town choir’s practice and decides he’s found his calling. Anna Camp also stars. Also, as someone who majored in music, Princeton’s music school is not really a top music school. I assume they picked that based on the general “Princeton” reputation, but it’s going to irk me.
The Unicorn on CBS at 8:30pm ET. Series premiere. Walton Goggins stars in this new series about a widower who is a single dad to two adolescent daughters as he starts to explore the dating scene. The term “unicorn” here refers to a single man who is attractive, employed, and with a history of commitment. Which is not how I’ve typically heard that term used in the context of dating. I usually hear it used to describe a single, attractive, bisexual woman who is willing to date a couple but magically melt into the background and not disrupt their lives at all generally.
The Good Place on NBC at 9:00pm ET. Fourth season premiere.
Evil on CBS at 10:00pm ET. Series premiere. A new supernatural drama/procedural starring Katja Hebers, Mike Colter, and Aasif Mandvi. Concept is “A skeptical psychologist allies with a priest and a contractor to investigate purported supernatural incidents.”
