The Stand on CBS All Access at 3:00am ET.
30 for 30: Al Davis vs. The NFL on ESPN at 9:00pm ET. This documentary on the history of the Raiders features the use of “deep fake” technology to bring Al Davis and Pete Rozelle back to some sort of life to tell the story. That does not sound particularly appealing to me, but it is a concept I suspect we’re going to see more of.
The Unicorn on CBS at 9:30pm ET.
No Joke: Chris Rock and Gayle King on BET at 10:00pm ET. One-hour special presentation.
Fast Foodies on TruTV at 10:30pm ET. Series premiere. This is a new series where former winners from Top Chef and Iron Chef compete to recreate and “reimagine” a guest’s favorite fast food dish. The guest for this first episode is Joel McHale. I’m not sure why we need to recreate fast food dishes since the ideal of fast food is that it’s the same every time you get it, but I know in practice we’ve all run into duds here and there. I am keenly aware of the very particular let down of a not-great chalupa.
