The Voice on NBC at 8:00pm ET.

Black Lightning on The CW at 9:00pm ET.

His Dark Materials on HBO at 9:00pm ET.

Hometown Horror on Travel Channel at 9:00pm ET. Series premiere. The use of the word “Hometown” in titles like this meant to indicate small, semi-rural communities always bugs me because virtually every city is a “hometown” for someone. And given the population density of big cities, it seems like they might be the hometown for MORE people than small, semi-rural communities. At the very least, suburbs outside of big cities definitely are. My point being, we have a weird collective idea of what counts as a “hometown” and what doesn’t mostly thanks to media portrayals that just so happens to coincide with what conservative politicians like to tell us with where “real America” is and where it isn’t.

Bluff City Law on NBC at 10:01pm ET. Are there bluffs in Bluff City? Is it on a bluff? Do the people there just bluff a lot? I don’t actually care about any of the answers I just enjoy musing for its own sake.
