The Masked Singer on Fox at 8:00pm ET. Two-hour first season finale. Another of Dustin’s nightmares is over. For now.

Gone on WGN at 9:00pm ET. Series premiere. This is a procedural centered around a young woman who survived a highly publicized kidnapping joining a task force headed up by the man who rescued here that is ALSO bingo for people who watch too many procedurals. We have Chris Noth (Law & Order, original flavor and Criminal Intent), Danny Pinto (Law & Order: SVU), Leven Rambin (small roles in Law & Order: SVU, CSI: Miami, and True Detective season 2), and Tracie Thoms (Cold Case and 9-1-1 along with bit parts on several other procedurals). I enjoy playing games where I joke about show universe being connected by shared actors but I don’t think I can come up with an explanation that would explain this crew. It does seem like all of them had at least one named role on a Law & Order but that’s true of virtually every actor who spent more than a week in New York. Hell, I was an extra in an SVU episode.

Suits on USA at 10:00pm ET. Eighth season finale.

Whisky Cavalier on ABC at 10:00pm ET. Series premiere.

Alien News Desk on SyFy at 11:00pm ET. Series premiere. This is a series where aliens report on human news. Will Forte voices one of the aliens. Sounds like a preferable way to get your news.
