FX Brings Us Another Almost a Comedy

American Ninja Warrior on NBC at 8:00pm ET. So, I get that this franchise is probably a big one for NBC but I’m a little surprised that there seems to be 0 primetime coverage of the Paralympics happening right now. I know they’re all on Peacock, but I was hoping they’d give at least a half hour or so of a recap on the main network and that does not appear to be the case.

Name that Tune on Fox at 8:00pm ET.

61st Street on The CW at 9:00pm ET.

English Teacher on FX at 10:00pm ET. Series premiere. A new series about a gay English teacher in Austin, Texas trying to be a good example for his students while fitting into the dominant culture. Brian Jordan Alvarez created and stars in the series. The trailer has a comedic tone, but it also feels like it leans more towards The Bear end of comedy.
