Getting Witchy With It
Outside the Bubble: On the Road with Alexandra Pelosi on HBO at 8:00pm ET. This is a documentary about getting “outside your bubble,” where Alexandra Pelosi crosses the country to engage in conversations with Americans to gain an “unfiltered understanding of other perspectives.” She visited Sutherland Springs, Texas (site of the First Baptist Church shooting), Alabama, Pennsylvania, Port Arthur, Texas (which was hit by Hurricane Harvey), Charlottesville, Virginia, and San Diego. I am surprised that her surname alone didn’t get her run out of a few of those places.
New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills on ESPN at 8:15pm ET.
Good Eats: Reloaded on Cooking Channel at 9:00pm ET.
Heathers on Paramount at 10:00pm ET. First season finale.
A Very Wicked Halloween: Celebrating 15 Years on Broadway on NBC at 10:01pm ET. One-hour special presentation. A few years ago, I worked a touring production of Wicked while it was in Baltimore for a month and it’s still one of the more fun shows I’ve gotten to work. I already liked the score and I will probably always be pretty fond of the musical overall. I thought this would translate to liking the book, but if you haven’t made that particular logic leap yet, I will warn you that they are VERY different in tone and substance.
