I’m delighted that “Game Of Thrones” is bringing attention to new actors, and one of the more exciting ones is without question Danish actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, aka Jaime Lannister. He’s had a 20 year career in acting, but most Americans have only heard of him recently. He co-stars in the new Norwegian film Headhunters (or Hodejegerne if you want to be precise), and it looks pretty damn entertaining. There’s a rather bare synopsis floating about if you like that sort of thing:
An accomplished headhunter risks everything to obtain a valuable painting owned by a former mercenary. The trailer looks like solid heist movie material:
I have no idea if/when this will make it into the local multiplex, but I do know that it’s screening this weekend at the always awesome Independent Film Festival Boston, so I’m excited to see it.
Speaking of, if you’re near the Boston area this weekend, that’s where you’ll find me, Dustin, and our former Cannonball Read editor Tamatha. You should find us and buy us drinks. Or go to the movies with us. Whatever. It’s just a suggestion. I like scotch, by the way.
