You can (kind of) die of boredom, you know. Though Stephen King says he and hand-picked director, Peter Askin (Company Man) “went in fearlessly,” there’s nothing terribly scary about this Lifetime-ish trailer about a woman who discovers her husband’s nasty secret side-life. King calls the tale a “feminist story, with a woman who wasn’t going to just become a scream machine’;” I just wish it didn’t look so darned predictable.
Still, with Joan Allen and House of Cards’ Kristen Connolly, maybe there’s a chance this’ll be one of those better-than-it-looks movies.
That’s a pretty bad tagline, no? A Good Marriage also stars Anthony LaPaglia and Stephen Lang (and Stephen Sapienza as “Drunk Wedding Guest!”), it hits theaters October 3rd.
Cindy Davis, (Twitter) feels like she’s seen this before.
