There was a time when Kevin Smith was working on a Krampus movie. It was supposed to be an horror anthology, but last year, he changed the name to Anti-Claus (perhaps because of a conflict with this movie) and I’m not sure what became of it, though I’m guessing it had something to do with trifling $1.8 million that Tusk made.
Anyway, this is not the trailer for that Krampus movie, but it works from the same mythology. Krampus, according to Alpine folklore is a horned, anthropomorphic figure who punishes children who misbehave at Christmas. That punishment may or may not extend to death (but fingers crossed, I hope so!)
This movie comes from Michael Dougherty, the director behind the beloved Halloween anthology, Trick r Treat, and it stars Adam Scott, Toni Collette, Allison Tolman.
I am digging the trailer.
