If you’re headed out to see Godzilla this weekend, you’ll catch Christopher Nolan’s latest trailer in its full glory, but if you don’t want to wait, we’ve got it right here.
“We must confront the reality of interstellar travel.” These are Michael Caine’s professorial instructions to pilot and former engineer, Cooper (Matthew McConaughey). Earth’s food supply has run out (not planes and television sets), and Cooper is recruited to search out a habitable planet…but as the professor notes, nothing in our (own) solar system can help us. Enter the wormhole, I presume.
The trailer does a nice job of capturing the epic majesty we want in a great science fiction film; that feeling there is something bigger than ourselves.
Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar also stars Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Matt Damon, John Lithgow, Casey Affleck, Ellen Burstyn, William Devane and Wes Bentley. It hits theaters November 7th.
*Update:
Cindy Davis, (Twitter) is delighted to see Alfred’s return.
