There’s a Oscar-baiting movie coming out this fall called Conviction, starring Hilary Swank as a woman who decides to go to law school so she can seek the release of her wrongly imprisoned brother, played by Sam Rockwell.
In The Next Three Days, writer/director Paul Hackis (Crash) takes a different approach when the wife (Elizabeth Banks) of Russell Crowe’s character is apparently wrongly imprisoned for murder. He breaks her out of prison. Liam Neeson provides the sage advice, Hackis provides the high-brow dumbfuckery, Crowe provides the grunts, and Banks offers the pretty.
Here’s the trailer.
