The UK has given us a lot of great, entertaining television over the years and it looks like this summer, they’ll add one more to the pile. Newsweek just premiered the teaser trailer (it will officially premiere live on the UK’s Sky Atlantic channel Thursday) to the ten-episode miniseries Riviera, starring Julia Stiles.

Appropriately set to The Flying Lizards’ “Money,” the crime thriller trailer features Stiles as Georgina, the new wife of an older man (Anthony LaPaglia), whose life is shaken when her husband is killed in a yacht explosion and she begins to investigate how he died and the dangerous depth of his shady business. Iwan Rheon (Misfits’ Simon Bellamy to some, Game of Thrones’ Ramsay Bolton to most) co-stars in his first major post-GoT role as Adam, Georgina’s grown-ass stepson. Lena Olin also stars as LaPaglia’s ex-wife and presumably Adam’s mother. Other than that, who the hell knows. From the press release, we’re being promised lots of twists, sun, and sexy rich people doing very bad things. Basically, if you’re a messy bitch who lives for pretend drama like me, you’re home!

The miniseries’ international distribution rights were quickly scooped up in Germany, Austria, Italy and Ireland, although unfortunately, no news for America yet. Riviera is set to air this summer on Sky Atlantic.

Written by The Crying Game’s Neil Jordan, it’s sure to have enough shocks and intrigue to keep everyone hooked and guessing through the summer. And knowing Jordan, he’ll probably have some weird tension between Stiles’ and Rheon’s characters, because is it really a tawdry thriller if there isn’t extra tawdriness going on? Let’s hope the US can join in the escapism mid-2017. Welcome back, Julia!
