Imagine Walton Goggins is your high school vice principal. Now, imagine Walton Goggins, your high school vice principal, wears bow-ties like this:
You’d kinda feel like you had to go to school just to see what happens next, wouldn’t you? That’s how we’ll get sucked into HBO’s new series about feuding vice principals, starring Goggins and Eastbound & Down’s Danny McBride vying for the top job. We really don’t have a choice; we have to give it a go. Generally, I tend to avoid this kind of “dumb” comedy — well, except for Animal House oh, and The Blues Brothers, and The Jerk and…oh never mind; all I need is this ashtray. Just watch. It’s pretty darned stupid, but there is a meat joke and believe it or not, it doesn’t involve Trump.
The rest of the cast is great, too: Georgia King, Busy Philipps, Kimberly Hebert Gregory, Shea Whigham, Edi Patterson, Dale Dickey, and Sheaun McKinney.
Fork it; I’m in.
The Goggins got me (and maybe the meat gag).
Just don’t tell anybody.
I’m so ashamed.
Vice Principals is headed to HBO this July.
