Look! Out there in the wild! Coming closer to the Jeep, one of nature’s wonders: an action movie/thriller that isn’t a sequel, remake, reboot, or whatever the hell that last Terminator hernia was.
And it has Idris Elba’s ex-CIA agent and Richard Madden’s pickpotet thrown together to discover an explosive (literally) conspiracy in the heart of Paris! I am so in.
Just a warning, as per usual the trailer shows a little bit too much, so I’d watch about a half if I were you. That’s plenty to decide whether or not this is for you:
Bastille Day is written by Andrew Baldwin, for whom this is a debut, and co-directed by James Watkins (Eden Lake and The Woman In Black) and Jill Gagé (mostly assistant director work thus far). It also stars Kelly Reilly and Charlotte Le Bon. Originally set for a European release on the 19th February, the movie has been rescheduled for obvious reasons. Sadly, no U.S. release date has yet been confirmed.
