I just had to Google “Patrick Stewart Hair” because I am still reeling from the fluffy, McKellan-esque hair piece PStew is rocking in the new film The Wilde Wedding. Here, take a look at the trailer and you’ll see what I mean:

I knew I had seen him with hair before — usually facial hair, or a little lower head fringe — but the fact is that I’ve grown accustomed to having an unrestricted view of his gleaming scalp. I’m still processing this new development. It’s not that he looks bad, per se, but I find myself clinging to certain constants in this tumultuous time we’re living in, and apparently Patrick Stewart’s hairless head is one of them.

Other than his hair piece, the film looks like a story of thoroughly modern family dynamics and wine. Lots of wine. Despite the fact that the setting kept reminding me of the house from Get Out, the film seems like it’ll be more bawdy than scary. Here is the official synopsis:

In The Wilde Wedding, now-retired film star Eve Wilde (Glenn Close) prepares for her wedding to husband number four, renowned English writer Harold Alcott (Patrick Stewart) after a whirlwind courtship. At her upstate New York home - in the presence of both Wilde’s first husband, celebrated stage actor Laurence Darling (John Malkovich), and their collective families (Minnie Driver, Jack Davenport, Yael Stone, Peter Facinelli, Noah Emmerich, Grace Van Patten) - the long summer weekend offers the opportunity for everyone to get to know each other a bit more intimately. As sexual sparks begin to fly, there are unforeseen consequences abound.

Somehow, the idea that Glenn Close could land John Malkovich AND Patrick Stewart seems completely right to me. She’s got game! But now I want to know who her other two husbands were. My money is on Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman, but I’ll throw John Goodman in as a dark horse candidate because I ship him with everyone.

The Wilde Wedding will be released on September 15. In the meantime, have fun Googling pictures of Patrick Stewart with hair — just be warned, a lot of them are Photoshopped.
