Health Ledger passed away nine years ago now, and Spike will be premiering a documentary on the late actor on May 17th of this year. The trailer suggests that I Am Heath Ledger will be a fairly routine documentary, splicing together testimonials from the likes of Ang Lee, Ben Mendelsohn and Ledger’s sister with scenes from his movies, behind-the-scenes video, and home video footage.

Nine years honestly still feels like it’s too soon.
