The trailer for Shawn Levy’s This Is Where I Leave You is out and it looks gooooood. This is the perfect September movie: goofy and fun but actually, you know, good, to wean us off the summer explosions.
The film is based on the strongly-recommended novel by Jonathan Tropper, who also wrote the screenplay, about a family forced to spend a week together as their late father’s dying wish. Hold on to your butts, ‘cause this cast is Olympic-caliber. As much as I love my own family, I would trade them all in, no questions, to be a part of this fictional family: Jason Bateman, Tina Fey, Corey Stoll, Adam Driver, with Jane Fonda as mom. Also showing up is Connie Britton, Dax Shepard, Rose Byrne, Abigail Spencer, Kathryn Hahn, Ben Schwartz and Timothy Olyphant.
If that’s not enough for you (in which case, what the hell is wrong with you?), Tina Fey also sucker-punches Dax Shepard.
