Despite a flood of very disconcerting news about Season Two of AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” I’m still incredibly excited for the show to resume. It starts in October, people. THAT’S TWO MONTHS AWAY.
Yes, Darabont has left, and yes, many of the writers have been replaced, and yes, there have been budget cuts. But I’m still hopeful that AMC will find a way to continue to make it work, if not even make it better — as you all know, I loved Season One, but there was certainly room for improvement, and it started off much more strongly than it ended. Robert Kirkman, the creator of the series of graphic novels, is still on-board, which is another good sign. I like the fact that it will pick up immediately after the end of Season One, and… one word for you, kiddies: Michonne.
Anyway, here are four new clips, courtesy of AMC. They’re super short, but they’re certainly interesting and it’s just nice to see the characters again. The zombies still look great, and if you’ve read the comics, you’ll recognize some new, pretty important settings…
