The man-child is a well-explored character in TV and film. Pretty much every other movie or show has a Seth Rogen or a Nick Miller being told to grow up and get a checking account. But for some reason, the woman-child is not as common. That’s the focus, though, of the incredible Joe Swanberg’s latest movie, Happy Christmas. The first official trailer is chock full of Anna Kendrick drinking, dry-humping, falling asleep while drunkenly making frozen pizza, and drinking some more. It’s the kind of extreme slackerdom that most of us call “college,” but the professional woman-child calls “life.”
Happy Christmas will be in theaters July 25, but available on iTunes a whole month before that! Hooray!
