'The Bastard Executioner' Is Here To Ease Your 'Game Of Thrones' Withdrawal
You know that old saying “There’s nothing more dangerous than a Welshman who has nothing to lose”? No? Huh. Well, that gem of a line pretty much sums of the allure of The Bastard Executioner, which (to our disappointment) will not feature the brutal takedowns of the likes of Bill Cosby and Donald Trump.
The new FX series comes from the brain of Sons of Anarchy Kurt Sutter and centers on a 14th century warrior knight who’d left his days of swordfightng behind him until “violence finds him.” From there, he picks up the “bloodiest sword of all”—meaning an executioner’s sword.

The Bastard Executioner boasts a cast that includes Sons of Anarchy’s Katey Sagal, Timothy V. Murphy, Sarah White, Sarah Sweeney, Elen Rhys, Ethan Griffiths as well as True Blood’s Stephen Moyer, Galavant chef Darren Evans, and in its titular role newcomer Lee Jones, who’s IMDB profile says he’s known for “Slut: The Musical.” Here’s a trailer for that:
Yeah. So anyways, The Bastard Executioner will debut this fall.
