I’ve been pretty hard on the marketing of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter in the past, and mainly because the premise sounds a lot more radass than any of the trailers have made the actual movie seem. Taking itself too seriously seems the biggest sin, so it comes as
a minor decent some surprise that the movie’s Russian trailer looks, well, slightly more awesome. It may have something to do with everyone sounding drunk on Vodka and freedom, but I can’t exactly put my finger on it. Maybe you’ll have better luck:
On the other hand, Prometheus has far and away had one of the most exciting campaigns since Inception. Which, okay, was only two years ago, but the lead up to that movie was fucking righteous, wasn’t it? I still wish that movie was coming out. Anyway, so it’s really, absolutely not shocking that Prometheus’ Russian trailer is just as intriguing as everything else we’ve seen. If anything, the voice actors here sound drunk, but drunks who care about their craft. There’s also some new footage, if that’s more your speed. Check it out, now:
Rob Payne also writes the comic The Unstoppable Force, tweets on the Twitter @RobOfWar, and his ware can be purchased here (if you’re into that sort of thing). He actually really enjoys hackneyed Yakov Smirnoff jokes, and only mostly ironically.
