This morning, we got our first photographic glimpse of Rough Night, and now the trailer has arrived. The film stars Scarlett Johansson, Kate McKinnon, Zoe Kravitz, Ilana Glazer and Jillian Bell, and it’s directed by Lucia Aniello, a frequently writer and director of Broad City.
On first blush, it looks like a female version of The Hangover, but as Petr pointed out earlier, it’s actually more akin to a female version of Very Bad Things, and that’s much more interesting. Cocaine and dick is fun, but murder makes it even more interesting (especially if it takes a Very Bad Things-like turn and everyone starts murdering each other in an effort to cover up the original murder).
Anyway, here’s the trailer (and no, I don’t understand why McKinnon has an Australian accent, either, but I’m OK with it).
