Bless You, Netflix

It feels like Netflix has been relatively quiet in 2017. After the release of The OA and the phenomenal Travelers over the Christmas holidays, we’ve only been hit with two new series so far in the New Year: Lemony Snicket (which I haven’t seen yet) and the fun but problematic Santa Clarita Diet.

There’s been a flurry of activity, however, in recent days. For instance, they have been teasing the return of Zoe Barnes on House of Cards, which kicks off its 5th season in May. During the Super Bowl, the streaming series released its first teaser for the second season of Stranger Things, and then yesterday, it released its first full trailer for Iron Fist.

Today, they’re kicking it up another notch, releasing material for three new shows. First up is Bill Nye Saves the World, which will arrive on April 21st.

Later this morning, they gave us the first footage we’ve seen of Anne, the Anne of Green Gables remake coming to Netflix on May 21st.

There’s also a trailer for the third season of Chef’s Table.

Finally (for now), here’s the trailer for the television adaptation of Dear White People, which will debut on April 28th.

In addition to those trailers, Netflix has also announced that The OA has been renewed for a second season and that Love has been renewed for a third season ahead of its second season debut next month.

It’s safe now to go back to freaking out, because there’s too much Netflix television to keep up with.

Here, by the way, is a handy guide to all the most promising new Neflix series in 2017.
