'Miss Meadows' Trailer Shows the Sweet Side of Vigilante Justice

Why do all vigilante heroes have to be so dark and brooding? All the angst about their place in the world and their morality, all the desire to hide their “true selves” from society so they have no real friends or connections aside from those who share their sense of duty, and those dark color palettes. It all gets to be a bit much after a while, honestly. What’s wrong with justice delivered via adorable clutch purses and lace-gloved hands? From the looks of this trailer for Miss Meadows, absolutely nothing.

While I am somewhat weary of the “secret badass goes all sickhouse on random criminal asses” I’m enjoying the imagery of delicate little Katie Holmes in her prim dresses and shoes gunning dudes down like they’re between her and a Laura Ashley outlet sale.
