'Logan' Trailer: Wolverine as a Washed-Up Drunk May Be The Best Thing to Happen to the 'X-Men' Franchise

Here’s the trailer for the next Wolverine movie, and as I understand it, Hugh Jackman’s last appearance as the character. If the trailer is any indication, Jackman will be going out on a high note. He’s still Wolverine, but his power has been diminished. He’s lost his healing powers. The Mutants aren’t what they once were, and Logan is hitting the bottle. He’s basically playing a Liam Neeson character on a road trip with a grizzled Patrick Stewart and a young girl he’s trying to protect.

Based on the trailer, I am deeply into this. They’ve made the world smaller, more intimate. This seems like more of a character movie than an “X-Men” movie, and that makes it the most exciting entry in the franchise in years.
