'Lion' Is Either Going to Be a Feel-Good Crowd Pleaser or the Worst Movie of 2016

Based on a true story, Dev Patel plays an Australian businessman who was separated from his family in India when he was young and adopted by an Australian couple (his mother is played by Nicole Kidman). Using Google Earth, Patel’s character tries to retrace his steps and reunite with his long lost family with the help of his girlfriend, played by Rooney Mara.

Knowing nothing about the true account, I am assuming that he finds his mother and brother, and Lion is a feel-good crowd-pleaser with some outside Oscar potential, because if he ultimately does not find his long-lost family, this is going to be a terrible movie and I am going to throw myself through a projector screen.
