Jennifer Lawrence and David O. Russell may have their problems, but making great movies together isn’t one of them. The reputedly volatile director reunited with Lawrence, Bradley Cooper and Robert De Niro for Joy, a film about Miracle Mop inventor and entrepreneur, Joy Mangano, and shouting matches aka method acting aside, it looks fantastic. Single mother Mangano, who also came up with HSN’s top-selling product of all time (Huggable Hangars), propelled herself from a struggling waitress to wealthy mogul, and from the trailer, she looks like just the kind of woman-on-the-edge Lawrence is so great at playing.

Looks freaking fantastic, right? Let’s face it, we’ll be seeing this crowd at the Academy Awards again next year.

Joy also stars Isabella Rossellini, Elisabeth Röhm, Virginia Madsen, Diane Ladd, Dascha Polanco, Édgar Ramírez and Drena De Niro; it’s out this Christmas Day.
