Good Old Guillermo del Toro, Always Good For Some New Nightmare Fuel

Guillermo del Toro has given us some pretty fun romps (Hellboy, Pacific Rim), but I will never not associate his name with the nightmares induced by Pan’s Labyrinth and those disgusting billboards for The Strain (which, yes, I know he didn’t make but I blame him for writing the book the series was based on in the first place). Now his new movie, Crimson Peak, is being called his “ultimate masterpiece” (by the trailer itself), and while that is a high bar to clear, it does look scary as shit. Though really, anything set to a slow creepy version of a Nick Cave song would be pretty damn scary.

This cast is also disturbingly beautiful. Hiddleston, Wasikowska, Hunnam, Chastain… it’s like all of our very pale fantasies coming true.
