I don’t know how this managed to escape me, but now that I’ve found it, you may never hear the end of it. Gillian Anderson and Ben Kingsley are headlining a movie about giant robots who’ve taken over Earth; obviously it’s called Robot Overlords. The trailer has pretty much everything you could want from such a movie, and though you might not have expected to see the likes of Trevor Slattery and Scully under these particular circumstances, it’s pretty damned cool. What’s the plot, you ask? Who the hell cares, I say (Robots take over Earth, humans fight back).

I guess it’s not enough to kick ass on Hannibal and The Fall, and co-write her own epic science fiction novel series…Anderson still needed to free the human race from its robot masters. When Skynet makes its move, I’m totally sticking to her like glue.

Robot Overlords is co-written and directed by Jon Wright (Tormented, and also stars Steven Mackintosh (Luther, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Underworld: Evolution/Rise of the Lycans), Geraldine James (Utopia [the good one!], The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows), Callan McAuliffe (I Am Number Four, The Great Gatsby, Hacker), and Tamer Hassan (Kick-Ass, Layer Cake, The Double). It takes over UK theaters March 19, 2015.
