If 'The Little Prince' Ends Up Being Anywhere Near As Beautiful As This Trailer, We're All In For Something Magical

The first trailer for the new Little Prince movie came out back in December, which set up the context for the story within a story: that a young girl is being told about the Prince by her eccentric neighbor. With the first trailer, the general consensus was that we were all blown away by the actual Little Prince portions and wished that could just be the entire movie. The animation there is beyond beautiful, and so simplistic to make our nostalgia bubble up into our eyeballs.

Yet with this trailer, it’s not just the Little Prince’s world that intrigues me. The little girl, caught up in the weird suffocating form her mother’s love has taken, looks like a really interesting context for this story, and something that looks likely to speak to young kids and get them invested in the fantasy. Plus Rachel McAdams and Jeff Bridge’s kooky old man voice help too. Of course, I am hoping that this part of the film takes up significantly less than half of the runtime, but still, I’m interested.

The Little Prince – International Trailer 2 by Orangefr

The Little Prince will be debuting at Cannes next month. Dimitri Rassam, who co-heads the European independent studio behind the movie says,

Our movie is an homage to one of France’s most iconic and revered properties, but also one of its most international, having crossed languages, cultures and generations. There is no better place than the Cannes Film Festival to showcase this unique combination.
