I know. That title. But think of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Trophy Wife, shows that used eyebrow-raising titles to draw your attention (and ire), then delivered wild, fun, and character-driven comedy. That’s our expectation for Onur Tukel’s Catfight, which won critical praise out of the Toronto International Film Festival.
Sandra Oh and Anne Heche star as two former college friends whose rivalry comes to an extreme fracas when they both attend the same glamorous event. Also on board for this daring comedy are Alicia Silverstone, Dylan Baker, and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’s Tituss Burgess.
Catfight opens in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Cleveland, Seattle, Orlando, Phoenix, Denver, Kansas City (and all digital platforms) on March 3rd. In the meantime, check out Turkel’s Brooklyn-set vampire comedy Summer of Blood on Netflix.
