Comedian Doug Benson wasn’t always a “pot comic” but before, and especially after, his documentary Super High Me he’s embraced that semi-iconic status with the type of laissez-faire attitude to which fans of “pot comedy” gravitate. I’m not really sure what “pot comedy” actually means, but Doug Benson is definitely its personification and he’s hilarious, so that can only be a good thing. Thanks to being a dedicated listener to his never-not-entertaining podcast, Doug Loves Movies, it’s come to my attention that he has a new film coming out that once again rips off more-or-less legitimate documentarian Morgan Spurlock. However, Benson’s latest, The Greatest Movie Ever Rolled feels more like a standard tour doc than an actual stoner parody of Spurlock’s The Greatest Movie Ever Sold. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it just means it’s a merely a matter of time before Benson attempts some pun on Comic-Con Episode IV: A Fan’s Hope. Feel free to come up with your own marijuana flavored title in the comments.

Anyway, here’s the trailer for the new movie, which also features Benson’s frequent tour compatriot and podcast guest, comedian Graham Elwood. If you’re already a fan then you’re likely in good shape to enjoy this; otherwise, admittedly, your mileage may vary:

Rob Payne also writes the comic The Unstoppable Force, tweets on the Twitter @RobOfWar, and his ware can be purchased here (if you’re into that sort of thing). He often wishes he could live the life of a stand-up comedian, and he’s fairly sure that isn’t healthy.
