We got a few quick bursts of good TV news today.

First up, The X-Files continues to flesh out the new season’s cast with people we love. We already knew Joel McHale was involved, and Kumail Nanjiani is living out our nerd fantasies by appearing in one episode. Now Lauren Ambrose (that celebrity crush you haven’t been giving nearly enough attention to lately) and Robbie Amell of The Flash. (Is he a person we like? Asking for a friend who’s never seen the show. Definitely not admitting to being a professional nerd TV writer who’s never seen a minute of The Flash.) They’re both only signed on for one episode (episode four), but their characters’ names are Agents Miller and Einstein, so I think we should expect at least a quarter of the episode to be devoted to Mulder making fun of the name “Agent Einstein.”

Next, we’d already talked about the loose start date of “September” the You’re the Worst’s second season had gotten. Now we finally have an exact date for our calendars: Wednesday, September 9th! The show will be moving to FXX (to appeal to the youths), and will air at 10:30 pm, right after The League, which premieres its final season the same night. Prep your Wednesday Fundays accordingly.

And because what are two ieces of good news without one piece of stupid news to balance them out— here you go. In an affront to spelling purists and people with good tastes, Khloe Kardashian will be getting her own prime time talk show titled Kocktails with Khloe. The show will premiere on FYI, which is apparently a real network and sounds like it will take the format of a dinner party you didn’t want to attend, with “cooking, pop culture, conversation and outrageously fun party games.”
