You'll Believe That A Girl Can Shoot...Fireworks From Her Fingers: X-Men's Jubilee Has Been Cast
Let’s get this out of the way before Nerds Attack: Jubilee projects pyrotechnic energy plasmids from her fingertips. Squishy, hurty fireworks. Just like I said.
Bryan Singer revealed, via Instagram, that Lana Condor has been cast in X-Men: Apocalypse as Jubilation Lee, aka Jubilee. Jubilee has appeared in other entries in the X-Men franchise, (played by Katrina Florence in X-Men and by Kea Wong in X2: X-Men United and X-Men: Nope, Never Happened) but she was never a featured player.
As Jennifer Lawrence has announced Apocalypse will be her last time in Mystique’s tight, blue skin, Jubilee’s addition to the X-Men movie universe is just another sign that younger versions of established characters will likely carry on. Condor joins Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Alexandra Shipp (Storm), and Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler) in the third flick of this X-Men trilogy.
Let’s all enjoy these pictures I found of each of the actors Photoshopped to resemble their characters! Well, everyone except Condor. Get on it, Internet!
