A Great Thing, Three Good Things, and a Meh

Good thing number 1: William Atherton has been signed on for a guest role on the upcoming final season of “Lost.” If you’re asking “who dat,” shame on you. He’s one of the great character actor d-bags from the ’80s, playing the dickless wonder who shut off the power grid in Ghostbusters (yes, it’s true, this man has no dick), the scumbag reporter in Die Hard and, most importantly, the conniving prick of a professor (who may just have been able to hammer a six inch spike through a board with his penis) in Real Genius. No word on what his role will be about, but it’s safe to say his character will be a douchebag. And will either have no dick, or will be able to use his dick to bang Ben’s daughter (yes, I know she’s dead, but remember — he’s a douchebag).

Good thing number 2: NBC has reportedly upped its episode order for “Chuck” by six, taking the upcoming fall season to at least nineteen episodes. This is on top of speculation that the new season will actually drop in January, rather in March, as was the original plan. More “Chuck” and sooner “Chuck” makes for happy TV.

Good thing number 3: The new incarnation of “Scrubs” and the return of “Better Off Ted” are just around the corner. The latest season of “Scrubs” will be premiering on ABC on December 1, with “Better Off Ted” coming back a week later. Not sure if this reworked “Scrubs” will be good, but I’m cautiously optimistic that it’ll at least be watchable. And I have no doubt that “Better Off Ted” will continue to be very entertaining (although I think that after watching a few episodes, we’re going to find that “Modern Family” is the better show, on the whole).

Meanwhile, here’s your meh — the newly released trailer for Season Eight (8!) of “24”:

Oh yeah, I almost forgot your great thing:

That motherfucker was cool as ice and Game 1 is ours, bitches!
