Will Marvel's 'Agent Carter' Get a Second Season?
Since last week’s news that ABC was talking to American Crime and 12 Years a Slave writer/producer John Ridley about a new Marvel television series, I’ve been nervous about Agent Carter. Almost instantly, the IAPS (Internet Association of Professional Speculators) decided that whatever this new series might be, it probably meant that Agent Carter, which has had decent but not exceptional ratings, could be in trouble. Looks like Craig Wack — who made the case for a second season — correctly predicted a May decision, and as the Magic Eight Ball might advise after a vigorous shake: “Outlook good.”
You see, this past weekend, Hayley Atwell (alongside Ming Na) was on the “Kick-ass Women of S.H.I.E.L.D.” panel at Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo, and the actress was given a message to answer the “F.A.Q.” of whether Agent Carter would be back for a second season:
In case that print’s too small, here’s the big news!
Whee! I know it’s not an official confirmation, but it’s damned close — and we’ll know for sure in three weeks. And surely they won’t leave this storyline hanging in the wind:
Pardon me while I hold my breath for three weeks.
