At this weekend’s NYCC, Marvel announced a few cast additions to Agent Carter’s second season, the most interesting of which are two female stars (no worries though, Peggy, you’ll always be our number one). As you may already know, when the series returns, Peggy will have been relocated to Los Angeles; rest assured James D’Arcy’s Jarvis, Bridget Regan’s Dottie Underwood, Enver Gjokaj’s Daniel Sousa and Chad Michael Murray’s Jack Thompson will all return. Additionally, though Dominic Cooper is now heading up his own series at AMC (Preacher), Marvel confirmed he will return as Howard Stark.
Here are the second season new cast members:
Wynn Everett (The Newsroom, House of Lies, The Event) as Whitney Frost aka Madame Masque
Everett will be introduced on Agent Carter as an actress inspired by Hollywood icons like Hedy Lamarr and Lauren Bacall, and a brilliant inventor. Presumably, her alter ego — first introduced in 1968’s Tales of Suspense — will be revealed at a later time.
Lotte Verbeek (Outlander, The Fault in Our Stars, The Borgias) will star as Ana Jarvis
Edwin’s “free-spirited” wife immediately befriends Peggy and helps her adjust to life in Los Angeles. (All I can say is she’d best not get in the way of our favorite duo’s silly antics.)
Currie Graham (Westworld, Longmire, Mad Men, House of Lies) as Frost’s husband, Calvin Chadwick
A high-powered businessman and “complex character who lives at the center of Season 2’s intrigue.”
Reggie Austin (Pretty Little Liars, Devious Maids, Homeland) as Jason Wilkes
A charming and charismatic scientist who may be Peggy’s new love interest.
The only bummer here is that we’re still in the dark over whether Lyndsy Fonseca, who played Angie Martinelli will return. Hayley Atwell previously said conversations about the extent of Peggy and Angie’s friendship were in progress, so we’ll just have to hope the announcement of Fonseca’s return is forthcoming.
Agent Carter returns to ABC next January.
